Tandem Tech Circle

Less noise about tech.More real conversation.

A curated circle for product and tech professionals navigating a fast-changing industry. We meet online every 6 to 8 weeks, under the Chatham House Rule.

What Tandem is

Tandem Tech is a curated circle for product and tech professionals navigating a fast-changing industry. AI is a big part of that, but so are shifts in roles, teams and how we work. We meet online to explore current challenges and talk about the how, not just the what.

There's an immense amount of noise around tech right now. We keep Tandem small on purpose, for people who care about human connection and the power of conversation. Every member is approved by hand to keep the space curated.

Who it's for

Product and tech professionals who believe in the power of conversation.

We're a mixed space of different roles and backgrounds. Tandem is for you if you're open about your work, curious about other people's, and happy to listen as much as you share.

What you get

  • Sessions

We meet online every 6 to 8 weeks, on a Tuesday at 2pm UK time, for 1.5 hours. Sessions are on Zoom, and each one is built for conversation.

  • The digest

Every session produces a digest. It goes to every member, whether you attended or not.

    It comes in two layers:

    1. the email as a lite version
    2. the full digest as a PDF and published in the members' space, where you can access it anywhere and even bookmark.
  • The members' space

Where Tandem lives between sessions. Read the digests, post an Ask or a Share, and browse resources from our sessions, organised by theme.

Questions

What happens in a session?

Each session is built for conversation. It usually runs like this: a warm-up to settle in, short polls on Slido to see where the room is, then discussion segments on the session's theme. Topics come from three places: patterns from the last session, what's changed in tech since, and what members suggest. It's a fast-moving space, so themes shift with it.

Do I need my camera on?

Camera on is optional. Join late or leave early if you need to. We'd love to hear your voice though, as the circle works best when people speak up.

What if I can't make a session?

Every session produces a digest. It goes to every member, whether you attended or not.

What's the Chatham House Rule?

Tandem runs under the Chatham House Rule. You can use what you hear, but you can't say who said it. You can share themes and ideas from a session outside the circle, without naming or describing who raised them.

Are sessions recorded?

Sessions are transcribed so I can write the digest. Sessions are not video recorded. Names are redacted, so transcripts don't carry who said what, and only I can see them.

How much does it cost?

Membership is £6.75 a month, paid monthly through Luma. There's also a Founders Circle, by invitation only, for people in my professional network whose experience I can vouch for personally. Its rate is £3.30 a month, locked for life.

How do I join?

Select Join now to apply through Luma. Every member is approved by hand.

Can I leave at any time?

Cancel through Luma any time. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Can I suggest someone?

If you know someone who'd be a good fit, invite them to apply. Every member is paid and approved, which is what keeps the room honest.
